Disney Cruise Line has been forced to postpone its test sailing for Disney Dream because of COVID-19 test results the CDC deemed as positive.

Disney Cruise Line announced that it has had to put its first test cruise since the start of the pandemic on hold, after a handful of its employees had inconsistent test results for COVID-19.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), had approved the cruise line’s request to conduct a two-night test cruise until the results came through.

“We are delaying our simulation cruise due to a small number of inconsistent COVID-19 test results, which are considered positive by the CDC. The rigorous health and safety protocols we have in place helped us identify the situation, though the test results were ultimately negative,” the Disney Cruise Line statement read.

Last weekend, Celebrity Edge became the first cruise ship to leave a U.S. port in 15 months, signalling an #ArrivalRevival of the cruise industry in the States.
