Norwegian Cruise Line is splashing its newest ship with incredible new features including the largest aqua park at sea featuring four water slides!
Scheduled to launch in October next year, 4,200-passenger Norwegian Escape will also have the largest ropes course at sea; a full sized basketball court; a bocce ball court; and a miniature golf course.
If the ship is starting to sound a lot like Royal Caribbean and Carnival’s ships then you’d better think again.
Carnival may have the largest water slide at sea – the Green Thunder – but Norwegian’s passengers will have four water slides to choose from including the Aqua Racer a tandem slide – competitors can race side-by-side on tubes; and Free Fall – a side-by-side set of slides where passengers free fall into a loop as the floor drops from underneath them.
There’s also two pools and four hot tubs plus there’s a Kids’ Aqua Park.
Meanwhile, the rope course will be three stories high and feature 99 elements such as the two walkable planks extended over the side of the ship and zip tracks.
Norwegian also revealed that the ship will have the line’s first dedicated nursery for young cruisers two and under.
There’ll also be Norwegian’s signature, The Splash Academy, on Deck 5 featuring dedicated areas and activities for three to five year olds, six to nine year olds and 10 to 12 year olds.
The teen zone, named Entourage, is on Deck 17 and has a new design that in the evening turns into a teens-only nightclub.
When Escape launches she will sail to the Caribbean year-round from Miami on a seven-day Eastern Caribbean itinerary from 14 November 2015.
