G Adventures doubles down on expedition excitement with a return to the Arctic in 2026, plus a new expedition ship sailing to Antarctica in October 2025. With plans to double its small-ship portfolio by July, this means more sales opportunities for G Adventures’ best-selling expedition product.
Amid ongoing demand from travel advisors and teasing an expedition expansion, G Adventures will return to the Arctic for the first time since 2019, relaunching its polar program with four new itineraries and 10 departures setting sail from June 2026.
These include the eight-day Realm of the Polar Bear and 15-day Arctic Highlights Southbound itineraries. Further expeditions across the Arctic Circle and the Scottish Isles will launch in the coming weeks.

This is in addition to five Antarctic itineraries available on the newly chartered, 128-passenger Expedition vessel, departing October 2025.
Expedition expansion

G Adventures Founder Bruce Poon Tip said the news is a huge leap forward for the adventure operator, breaking down the barriers of traditional polar cruising by offering affordable, adventurous and educational small-ship expeditions in remote regions.
All expeditions include onboard experts, such as a marine biologist, ornithologist, geologist and historian, plus daily shore excursions, weather permitting.

“Our travellers and agent partners have been asking when we will return to the Arctic, and I’m delighted to say the time is now,” he said.
“We’ve been leading the way in small-ship expeditions for over 25 years and, in true G style, we’re not only going back – we’re going beyond – with the addition of completely new itineraries, packed with wildlife and natural history.
“These feature some of the most dramatic and beautiful coastlines around the Scottish coastline, resulting in our most comprehensive and varied expedition program,” he said.
More expedition product for agents to sell

He urged travel advisors to “get on board” and liaise with the G Adventures team to maximise selling opportunities for the expanded polar program.
“Our expedition product has always been a huge selling opportunity for agents as more travellers seek the advice of travel experts when journeying to these remote parts of the world,” he said.

“There’s a lot more pie to go around with this new product coming to market and our teams are poised and ready to work hand-in-hand with agents to help them get a slice of that pie.”
