Cruise line, Holland America has launched a new app that allows your clients to really get to know the product before booking or stepping onboard.

Launched this week, the ‘Holland America Alaska’ is designed to make it easier and more convenient for travellers to ‘tap and swipe’ their way around the line’s Alaska cruises and Land + Sea Journeys.

Available through Apple, Android or Windows, the free app also brings ‘new level of detail’ to exploring cruise product through interactive maps of destinations, details on ports and excursions as well as a sampling of the libne’s Glacier Bay podcasts.

Once a day-by-day itinerary is finalised, a pdf flyer to email can be created with the swipe of a finger.

For those without a tablet, there is also a “desktop viewer” that offers the same rich content with mouse-click navigation.

Do you think more cruise itineraries need to be presented via an app?
