Combining a passion for sport and travel, polar specialist Chimu Adventures introduces an exclusive, new 2024 charter expedition, Sporting Legends in the Antarctic, featuring Aussie sporting greats Dawn Fraser and John Eales.
Billed as a trip of a lifetime for intrepid travellers and sports enthusiasts alike, Chimu’s 11-day small-ship Antarctica expedition cruise will depart on 27 January 2024.
Guests will sail aboard the expedition vessel, Ocean Endeavour, on a round-trip to Antarctica from Ushuaia, Argentina.
The light adventure itinerary includes crossing the Drake Passage to the South Shetland Islands with Zodiac landings to explore the Antarctic Peninsula.
Onboard, rugby great John Eales and Olympic swimming champion Dawn Fraser will discuss their lifetime achievements and discover the wonders of Antarctica alongside cruisers.
The Sporting Legends in the Antarctic expedition cruise will also fundraise and raise awareness for the Black Dog Institute.
