A travel agent needs to book us a ticket for one of P&O‘s new ships ASAP because the cruise line’s two new restaurants’ menus sound legen (wait for it) dary!

The cruise line this week unveiled the treats and cuisine guests can expect to dine on at Pacific Aria and Pacific Eden’s Angelo’s and Dragon Lady.

Joining the cruise line in November this year, the two ships will offer more international flavour with Angelo’s specialising in Italian dishes while Dragon Lady offers passengers a taste of the Orient.

Aside from enjoying a relaxed environment, Angelo’s menu will indulge taste-buds with traditional favourites such as Linguini Pasta Vongole and Eight-hour Veal Ossobucco Gremolata as well as modern specialities like Sicilian-style Fremantle Sardines using fine Australian produce.

P&O Angelo's

P&O Cruises Senior Vice President Sture Myrmell said Angelo’s is a first for the cruise line by moving it away from traditional trattoria style menus towards more contemporary Italian dining.

“We’ve considered a mix of classic Italian dishes in the menu but also added a very modern take that incorporates the latest trends in Italian dining.”

Meanwhile, with dishes like Gaeng Daeng Creamy Chicken Soup and Tempura-crusted Uramaki Sushi, Myrmell said Dragon Lady celebrates Australia’s influences from around the world.

Other dishes available in the Pan-Asian inspired restaurant include Singapore-style Soft Shell Crab (YES!), Kung Pao Masterstock Slow-cooked Beef Cheeks and a Salted 70 percent Dark Chocolate Cake.

“Australians have a wonderfully broad palate – they like to eat different foods and try new experiences when they are on holiday, so we think the wide range of dining options on Pacific Aria and Pacific Eden will really appeal.”

The two new restaurants are exclusively available on Pacific Aria and Pacific Eden and can be dined at for a nominal fee.

The ships will also include the new international marketplace The Pantry, the Waterfront Restaurant and Luke Mangan’s Salt grill, a favourite across P&O Cruises’ Australian fleet.
