Cruisers will have plenty of opportunity to get to know their fellow ship mates when dining in Princess Cruises’ new specialty restaurant SHARE by Curtis Stone.
Coming to Sun Princess in April next year, the Australian chef’s first restaurant at sea will feature a communal table designed to promote a space for ‘conversing and creating memories’.
The ‘SHARE’d table is seen amongst low-backed leather banquettes and decorative curios from Curtis’ collection in sneak peek pictures unveiled by Princess this week.
Working closely with Curtis and Princess Cruises, world-renowned hospitality designer Jeffrey Beers International developed a dining ambiance that is a reflection of Curtis’ creative vision and stems from his own childhood mealtime experiences, which were as much about family, community and connection as they were about the food itself.
“I love the process of passing plates amongst each other and creating meaningful connections through the food and conversation.”

To compliment the ‘family’ experience, Curtis’ menu features fresh, hand-crafted dishes such as a Charcuterie starter course; Butter Roasted Lobster with Caramelised Endive and Endive Foam; Twice Cooked Duck Leg with Fennel, Bacon jus and Parmesan Crumb; Tagliatelle with Roasted Alaskan Crab, Chili and Parsley; and Dark Chocolate Cremeux with Toasted Hazelnut Feuilletine and Burnt Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.
The restaurant is a key feature of Princess Cruises’ exclusive relationship signed with Curtis last month.
Sun Princess will be the first local ship to feature the restaurant and its menu of signature dishes created by the famous chef. However, the venue will debut on Ruby Princess and Emerald Princess this December followed by Coral Princess in January.
In addition to SHARE by Curtis Stone restaurants, the partnership will also see ‘Crafted by Curtis’ menu items offered in the main dining rooms of Princess’ ships.
‘Crafted by Curtis’ dishes will debut on Golden Princess, giving Aussies the chance to experience his flavours over the wave-season when she is operating cruises out of Melbourne.
Menu items will roll out to the rest of the fleet through to the end of 2015, while Curtis Stone’s Chef’s Table experience will debut in early 2016.
