If you couldn’t tell a Princess Cruises ship apart from its competing brands in the past then you’ll definitely have no trouble in the coming years.
The cruise line today unveiled new, bold and very distinctive livery for all of its ships.
Revealed today on a rendering of Majestic Princess (the first ship built specifically for the China market), the new ship artwork reflects the brand’s blue logo, giving its a “sophisticated look” designed to “reinforce the premium experience”.

Majestic will be the first ship to debut the new livery design before it is rolled out to the rest of the fleet over the next few years.
According to Princess Cruises President Jan Swartz, the company’s logo has represented the cruise line for nearly half a century and represents the adventure of cruise travel around the world.
“Now our ships sail to more than 360 ports of call worldwide and will be instantly recognised from afar.”
Jan Swartz, Princess Cruises President
“As the very first cruise ship built for China, we take great pride that Majestic Princess is our first ship to proudly display our new livery design.”
Scheduled to launch next year, Majestic is being built with many of the same features as the line’s latest ships, Royal Princess and Regal Princess, including a multi-story atrium serving as the social hub of the ship; an over-the-ocean SeaWalk, a top-deck glass-bottomed walkway extending 8.5 metres beyond the edge of the ship; the Princess Live! interactive studio; and a special Chef’s Table Lumiere, a private dining experience that surrounds diners in a curtain of light.
To cater to the Chinese market, the ship will have a number of new venues, which will be revealed in more detail in the coming months.
Majestic Princess will homeport in Shanghai and carry 3560 guests.
