One of the world’s most beloved ships, Queen Elizabeth 2, has dropped her anchor for the last time and permanently docked in Dubai as a floating hotel.

You may remember Queen Elizabeth 2 (QE2) from her brief appearance in Lindsay Lohan’s The Parent Trap…

Or more likely from over four decades of cruising the Atlantic.

Either way, the beautiful cruise ship re-opened her renovated doors this week to a completely transformed interior, which will be used to accommodate travellers visiting the city of Dubai.

While she may never cruise again, she’ll continue to provide holidaymakers with upmarket accommodation, and dining experiences from her new home at Mina Rashid on the Dubai waterfront.

Holidaymakers can reserve overnight upmarket accommodation in renovated staterooms and suites, many of which have balconies available.

Guests can also enjoy an onboard dining experience at five restaurants and bars. Another eight restaurants and bars are scheduled to open over time.

Or they can explore the vessel’s history in the QE2 Heritage Exhibition.
