It’s official: summer is here, and so is Quantum of the Seas. For the third season running, Brisbane is the departure point for one of Royal Caribbean’s most versatile and family-friendly ships. With 22 itineraries spanning Queensland, the South Pacific, and New Zealand, this season is packed with opportunities for agents to match the right clients to the right trip.
Here’s what you need to know:
The lineup
Royal Caribbean has crafted itineraries that cater to a broad range of holiday preferences. But according to Gavin Smith, vice president and managing director, Australia and New Zealand, Royal Caribbean International, families are core to Quantum.
“More Queensland families are choosing Quantum of the Seas for their next holiday, seamlessly combining spectacular destinations with the ease of an all-encompassing adventure,” he said.

The itineraries include:
- South Pacific Highlights: With 11 cruises ranging from 7 to 8 nights, these itineraries visit the sought-after destinations of Mystery Island and Port Vila in Vanuatu, alongside the cosmopolitan appeal of Noumea, New Caledonia. These routes are perfect for clients seeking island relaxation and cultural experiences.
- Quick Queensland Escapes: The 4- to 6-night getaways focus on Queensland’s unique offerings, from snorkelling at the Great Barrier Reef to enjoying Airlie Beach’s laid-back charm. These shorter options cater to clients with limited time or those new to cruising.
- Epic New Zealand Journeys: For travellers seeking a longer trip, the 14-night New Zealand cruise explores iconic locations such as the Bay of Islands, Napier, and Wellington. It’s an excellent choice for clients keen on dramatic landscapes and cultural immersion.
Onboard attractions
When booking clients aboard Quantum of the Seas, it’s crucial to highlight the ship’s extensive activity and amenity options, which cater to a wide range of interests:
- Adventure and activities: RipCord by iFly (a skydiving simulator), the FlowRider surf simulator, and SeaPlex—the largest indoor activity complex at sea—are all ideal for clients seeking thrills.
- Relaxation options: The Vitality Spa offers a retreat for those seeking downtime, while the fitness centre appeals to health-conscious travellers with its panoramic ocean views.
- Dining variety: From Jamie’s Italian to the exclusive Chef’s Table, dining options cover everything from casual family fare to elevated culinary experiences. Agents should highlight Izumi for sushi lovers or other international flavours to attract food-centric travellers.
- Evening entertainment: The Royal Theatre stages large-scale productions, while Two70 offers a unique blend of technology and artistry in its shows. For those looking for a more relaxed evening, live music venues like Schooner Bar and Music Hall provide diverse entertainment options.
Why agents should take note

Travel agents can capitalise on this demand by recommending cruises that align with their clients’ preferences. The variety of trip lengths and destinations offers flexibility, while the ship’s reputation for quality ensures a satisfying holiday experience.

Royal Caribbean Down Under
In the 2025-26 Australian cruise season, Royal Caribbean International is set to enhance its presence with the introduction of two ships: Anthem of the Seas and Voyager of the Seas. This expansion will offer travel agents a broader range of itineraries to present to clients, encompassing destinations across the South Pacific, New Zealand, and Australia.

Anthem of the Seas will make its Australian debut in November 2025, homeporting in Sydney. The ship is scheduled to undertake 24 cruises, varying from short two- to four-night coastal getaways to extensive 18-night voyages. These itineraries will cover key destinations such as New Zealand and the South Pacific. Onboard, guests can experience features like the RipCord by iFly skydiving simulator and the SeaPlex, the largest indoor activity space at sea.
Simultaneously, Voyager of the Seas will homeport in Brisbane for the first time, starting in December 2025. The ship will offer 20 sailings, including seven- to nine-night South Pacific escapes and shorter Queensland coastal cruises. Notably, Voyager of the Seas will introduce a new destination, Luganville in Vanuatu, and feature amenities such as The Perfect Storm waterslides and ice-skating at Studio B.

Additionally, both ships will host six exclusive “Wiggly Sailings,” featuring The Wiggles characters, enhancing the family-friendly appeal of these cruises.
This strategic deployment aims to cater to the growing demand for diverse cruising options in the Australian market, providing travel agents with an expanded portfolio to meet various client preferences.
