Scenic has commenced its 2022 Europe river cruising season, with its eight-day Rhine Highlights itinerary marking the return to a full Europe river cruise program.
After operating sailings in the Bordeaux region, as well as on the Douro and Rhine rivers, in 2021, this year will see Scenic welcome back guests from Australia and New Zealand, for the first time since the 2019 season.
More than 300 all-inclusive luxury river cruise departures will operate throughout Europe this year, sailing the magnificent and historic Rhine, Main, Danube, Moselle, Seine, Rhône, Garonne, Gironde, Dordogne and Douro rivers.
Two new culinary cruises will also be added in France with the 11-day Tastes of Southern France and Flavours of Bordeaux itineraries.
Clients planning to join Scenic in Europe this year can book the 8-day Rhine Highlights river cruise from Amsterdam to Basel (and vice versa), visiting Cologne, Koblenz, Heidelberg, Baden-Baden and Strasbourg en route.
Highlights in Germany include a ride on the country’s oldest cog railway, visit local wineries for mouth watering tastings and be enthralled by a private concert within the Baroque Palace of Rastatt.
Of the new culinary cruises, the 11-day Tastes of Southern France sails a round-trip journey from Lyon, taking guests on a gastronomic voyage through Mâcon, Chalon-sur-Saône, Tain L’Hermitage, Avignon and Viviers.
This voyage offers a flavoursome experience, where guests will be treated to two exclusive Scenic Enrich events – a private behind-close-doors interactive workshop at the Valrhona Cité du Chocolate and an unforgettable classical concert at the prestigious Palais des Papes.
