Royal Caribbean’s Ovation of the Seas sailed into Adelaide on Saturday 10 December in a shipshape South Australian reunion after more than two years. The ship will make two calls in Adelaide across the summer cruise season.
Ovation of the Seas’ visits to South Australia over her summer cruise season offers a welcome boost to the local community, providing an estimated $2 million from cruisers excited to explore the city.
Phil Hoffmann Travel Managing Director Phil Hoffmann said the RCI ship’s return is a great opportunity for South Australia and its cruise market recovery.
“We are delighted for Ovation of the Seas to return to the cruising scene in South Australia,” he said.
“This crowd-favourite ship from Royal Caribbean will bring thousands of cruisers looking to explore the rich activities and adventures offered by South Australia and is a great support for local business and tourism attractions.”
RCI Director of Sales Australia and New Zealand Dave Humphreys said Adelaide has always been a popular destination for guests.
“We’ve missed this incredible city and can’t wait to show it off to our guests. Next year, alongside Ovation, we also look forward to the debut of Brilliance of the Seas in Australia which will also make calls in Adelaide as part of new itineraries.”
