P&O Cruise’s entire Australian fleet of three ships is homeported in local waters again with the return of Pacific Adventure in Sydney on 9 September as the company resumes sailing in the region for the summer cruise season.
Pacific Adventure is set to be one of the tallest ships to sail under the Sydney Harbour Bridge on its way to the White Bay Cruise Terminal, made possible by a special marine engineering project.
The arrival marks an important homecoming for Pacific Adventure to be based year-round in Sydney and expand its presence by sailing from a number of Australian ports and Auckland to destinations in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.
Her first commercial trip will depart from Sydney on October 22 on a three-night comedy cruise.
President of Carnival Australia and P&O Cruises Australia Marguerite Fitzgerald said it was particularly significant to have all three P&O Cruises Australia ships back home.
“Pacific Adventure has returned to Australia just as the South Pacific continues to reopen maritime borders to cruising, with New Zealand, Fiji, New Caledonia and Papua New Guinea open and Vanuatu hopefully soon to follow.”

Pacific Encounter is homeported in Brisbane for year-round cruising, Pacific Adventure will be based in Sydney and Pacific Explorer will do cruise seasons from Adelaide, Melbourne, Fremantle and Cairns and an extended Auckland cruise season from June to November 2023.
