TravelManagers’ Cruise Master sails to the Arctic with Antarctica on the horizon in 2024

TravelManagers’ Jennifer Dwyer recently sailed to the Arctic and Scandinavia on a Silversea Cruises famil on a "trip of a lifetime" and now has her sights set on sharing her polar experience and taking her clients on an Antarctica adventure in 2024.

TravelManagers’ Jennifer Dwyer recently sailed to the Arctic and Scandinavia on a Silversea Cruises famil on a “trip of a lifetime” and now has her sights set on sharing her polar experience and taking her clients on an Antarctica adventure in 2024.

As a Master Cruise consultant for more than 20 years, the ACT-based Personal Travel Manager (PTM) has already experienced a vast range of cruise lines and destinations.

This recent Silversea Cruises famil, which she shared with her husband and six other ANZ travel advisors and their partners along with Silversea Cruises’ National Account Manager Nathen Burke and his wife, provided incredible memories and fresh inspiration for selling cruise holidays.

The 10-day itinerary from Tromsø in Norway included stops within the remote Svalbard archipelago before disembarking in Reykjavik, Iceland.

As part of her cruise highlights, Ms Dwyer saw two polar bears and even summoned up the courage to take part in the ‘polar plunge’.

“It was the best cruise I’ve ever done – and I’ve done more than a few – truly the trip of a lifetime,” she said.

“I cannot speak highly enough of Silversea Cruises: every single staff member had a wonderful attitude and was beyond dedicated to making sure our trip was the best it could possibly be.

“From the check-in staff who greeted us in Oslo to the Captain of the ship and all the amazing expedition staff we encountered during our cruise, the pride everyone took in their roles and in welcoming us onto the ship was quite extraordinary.

“Overall, it was like travelling with friends we had known for years who were constantly on the lookout for ways to enhance our experience,” she said.

TravelManagers Executive General Manager Michael Gazal added: “These famils are important because they provide the opportunity for PTMs to update their product knowledge, and also it’s a chance for them to spread their wings and rekindle their love of travel after two years of border restrictions.”
