Move over Emily in Paris, Viking will launch a new ship purpose-built for Paris in 2025 that will join its existing fleet of four Longships designed to navigate the Seine River and provide access right in the heart of the French capital.
Sailing the company’s popular eight-day ‘Paris & the Heart of Normandy’ itinerary, the new sister ship will join the four Longships officially named in 2022: Viking Fjorgyn, Viking Kari, Viking Radgrid and Viking Skaga.
Hosting 168 guests in 84 staterooms, the Viking Longships on the Seine River each offer an Aquavit Terrace and a wide variety of stateroom choices.
The vessels feature a battery-powered hybrid propulsion system and are also equipped for shore power to reduce fuel reliance while in port. Onboard solar panels contribute to the ships’ energy efficiency.

All five ships are designed specifically to cruise on the Seine and bring guests to the heart of Paris, just a short walk from the Eiffel Tower.
The eight-day voyage along the Seine River celebrates history, art, food and customs, visiting destinations such as Giverny, Rouen and Normandy’s beaches with World War II significance.
Viking Chairman Torstein Hagen said: “France continues to be among the most popular destinations for our guests and we are pleased to expand our fleet on the Seine River to meet that demand.”
“With our exclusive docking location at Port de Grenelle, even more guests will soon be able to explore the ‘City of Light’ in the Viking way.”
