AGENT ACADEMY – NEW SCENIC MODULE

Get the latest on Scenic, right now!

Scenic released two new modules for its global e-learning platform focusing on river cruising in Southeast Asia.

The next phase of development went live on 30 July and informs consultants of Evergreen product on the Mekong along with Scenic’s product on the Mekong and the Irrawaddy.

As a reward, Scenic is offering $250 Scenic Rewards points to the first consultant in each Australian state to complete the two courses by 30 August.

The next 50 to complete the courses will receive $50 Scenic Rewards points.

TUNE IN – AURORA WEBINAR

Do you mentally shrug as ‘I don’t know’ every time your clients ask about Patagonia? Here’s your chance to become an expert.

Aurora Expeditions is inviting Travel Agents to tune into a webinar hosted by Patagonia Expedition Leader Lelia Cataldi.

During the sessions, the expert (who’s working in Patagonia for over seven years) will touch on the landscapes, wildlife encounter and discuss land vs sea.

It’ll also include updates on Aurora Expeditions’ soon-to-launch Ulstein X-BOW the Greg Mortimer ship, exclusive offers and a Q&A.

Webinars will run on the 13th and 14th of August at 8.30am (AEST).

DOSE OF INFO – VIKING SESSIONS

Call the clients. Tell them there’s a FREE information session and the chance to win a $1,000 travel voucher.

Viking Cruises’ Information Sessions are headed to NSW, Victoria, Queensland, Tasmania AND for the first time, the NT.

Setting off on 27 August, the sessions will stop by 13 destinations to deliver information on its award-winning style.

Attendees will be tempted to book a “thinking person’s cruise” and take advantage of special booking offer (available on the day only). They’ll also go in the running to win a $1,000 Viking Travel Voucher, which will be given to one guest at each location.

Each session will run for approximately one hour, and there are multiple time slots for each location, depending on the area of interest of the guest.

NEW HOST – CRUISE360 PROGRAM

With less than a month until Cruise360 kicks off, CLIA has revealed who this year’s host will be.

It’s TV and radio presenter, James O’Loghlin.

Knowing for his work on ABC TV’s The New Inventors, O’Loghlin will be responsible for introducing this year’s speakers, keeping attendees entertained and ensuring the program runs smoothly.

DREAM TEAM – ACA CONFERENCE SPEAKERS

From Cruise360 to the 23rd annual Australian Cruise Association (ACA) Conference.

ACA has finalised the line-up for this year’s conference and it features Genting Cruise Lines’ SVP International Sales, Michael Goh.

His talk will coincide with Explorer Dream’s debut in Australia, which is set for the coming wave season.

Michael joins Melissa Witsoe from Windstar Cruises, Adam Armstrong of Silversea Cruises, and Captain Nikolaos Antalis for Royal Caribbean International – RCI (APAC).

Advocate for Melbourne’s visitor economy, Melanie de Sousa, will host this year’s event, which runs from 4-6 September.
