De Niro Drops F-Bomb At Federer: "Switzerland Is Just Too Perfect"

Switzerland Tourism ambassador Roger Federer has teamed up with Robert DeNiro in a dreamy, drama-free new Switzerland Tourism Campaign.

Switzerland Tourism ambassador Roger Federer has teamed up with Robert DeNiro in a dreamy, drama-free new Switzerland Tourism Campaign.

Tennis hero and Switzerland Tourism ambassador, Roger Federer has starred alongside none other than acting legend Robert De Niro in a new tongue-in-cheek campaign showing off just how bloody perfect Switzerland is.

In the ad, De Niro turns down an invitation by Federer to be part of a movie about Switzerland. He thinks the destination is pure, impressive, and utterly beautiful – but there is absolutely no drama in Switzerland, something De Niro focuses his acting upon.

In fact, it’s so perfect, De Niro unexpectedly drops the F-bomb…

No drama in Switzerland

The ad plays out as Federer tries to coax New York-based De Niro over to Swizerland to experience the adventurous side the country has to offer.

He tempts him with skiing, skydiving, hanging out in those oh-so-famous lush green sound of music fields with cows, sunsets and more.

But, despite the wondrous offerings, De Niro has to say no. He says he’s a certain type of actor; he needs an edge and Swizerland has no jeopardy or drama; “it’s just too perfect”.

For those like the Raging Bull, craving grit and conflict, let’s be real. Switzerland probably isn’t the best choice for a vacay. However, travellers looking for a peaceful, nature-rich, drama-free destination with people who are “too nice”, the small landlocked country is a damn good choice.

We wonder if our Swiss mate Roger will be making some more international phone calls?

Either way, we’re pretty sure these fun ads will entice many travellers seeking a drama-free trip over land and sea to experience Switzerland first-hand.

Here’s to a dreamy, no-fuss holiday when we’re allowed to roam wild and free once more.
