Agents get to see the sunny side of Spain

Eight lucky agents have recently been whisked away to the sunny land of Spain where they spent seven days exploring Barcelona, Madrid and Seville.

Eight lucky agents have recently been whisked away to the sunny land of Spain where they spent seven days exploring Barcelona, Madrid and Seville.

Flying Qatar Airways, agents experienced the airlines’ award winning services and seamless connections.

The group started off in Barcelona where they shopped, enjoyed city tours and learnt about modern Barcelona, got hands on in a cooking class and indulged in a spectacular cocktail dinner at the Majestic Hotel & Spa, all thanks to Barcelona Turisme.

They then took the high-speed AVE train to Madrid, where they were hosted for a delicious lunch at famous department store, El Corte Ingles and more shopping was had before Madrid Destino showcased the highlights of their city, visiting the Prado Museum, Casco Antigua and Plaza Mayor.

The group also experienced Madrid’svibrant nightlife at the trendy Platea bar & restaurant, newly revamped theatre complex.

Cordoba was next on the list where they visited Mezquita, Barrio Juderia and Old Quarters before heading to Seville on another high-speed AVE train. Consorcio de Sevilla hosted the group here as they enjoyed a tour of the Cathedral, Alcazar, the Plaza de España, Parque Maria Luisa, and Barrio Santa Cruz.

The famil was organised by Spain Tourism Board in conjunction with Qatar Airways  and Rail Europe GSAs.

Participants included Andrew Judd from Martin & James TA, Liam Hawkes from FC Camberwell, Kyia Rogers from FC Greensborough, Meredith Thompson from Garwood & Turner TA, Eliza Welsh from FC Highpoint, Kay Franklin from The Travel Agency Moonee Ponds, Traci Webber from Travel Inspirations and Myrna Dupont from Qantas / Viva Holidays. The agents were hosted by Sue Lim, Sales Executive, Qatar Airways, Angelina Lee from Spain Tourism Board & Ingrid Kocijan, Manager Australasia of Rail Europe.
