Glamping has arrived in the Maldives, but it has done so in a magical way with ‘bubble tents’ that allow travellers to sleep under the sun while remaining indoors.
The see-through glass bubbles were unveiled this month by the resort Finolhu in Baa Atoll as one of the first glamping products in the luxury islands.
Located in a 1.5km sandpit, the Finolhu Beach Bubble Tent are available exclusively to couples for a one-night-only experience under the stars, Edition.mv reported.

As well as having an unobstructed view of the night sky, the evening hideaway is custom-designed to be waterproof and climate-controlled, while also pumping ‘cleanroom’ air into the space.
There’s also a UV-protected exterior for those who want to lay around during the day without rubbing in a layer of sunscreen, wooden floors and furniture.

When it’s time for a clean, guests can step into the adjoining bubble bathroom with WC and shower.
The magical experience doesn’t stop there; the bubble also comes with a personal butler and security guards (to ensure their safety in the secluded location).

So what’ll an under the star glamping experience cost in the Maldives? It’s around US$600 per couple, and it comes with a private beach barbeque and breakfast along the water.
