The awesome experiences travellers can have in Canada were on show during the Canada Corroboree roadshow that wrapped up in Sydney last night following successful shows in Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide.

This year was Canada’s biggest Aussie roadshow yet with an impressive 42 suppliers coming to show off Canadian experiences and around 700 Travel Advisors attending to soak up knowledge.

If you’re based in Perth and feeling a bit left out, never fear, Canadian destination representatives are planning another show for you later this year.

Managing Director for Destination Canada in Australia Donna Campbell was particularly impressed with the quality of Travel Advisors attending this year’s shows.

“We’re seeing those that are really keen to learn and understand more about the destination, they’re the ones that are coming and they’re staying for the whole night.”

Donna said this year Destination Canada had three really clear objectives that they are trying to grow in the market: food and culinary experiences, authentic Canadian experiences and winter experiences.

“Everything we work on with Travel Advisors will be focused on those objectives,” she explained.

She also said the Air Canada flights from Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne were really helping to grow Australian visitation to Canada.

The Melbourne service has had such success that it will increase from three to four-times weekly from June.
