A glorious new Reddit thread has been started that simply asks ‘What do you hate most about tourists?’. Don’t take this the wrong way. We’re not dissing tourists; hey we’ve all been one before and we wouldn’t get to work in the best industry in the world without them.
But if you want to have a good chuckle, we’d advise reading the list. We’ve put together some of the funniest responses for you below.
They keeping dying

They keep dying. I live in Arizona. 113 (45c) degrees is not hiking weather. One litre of water is not enough water for a three-hour hike in 113 degree weather! Stop dying in my desert!
Refusing to Tip
The tipping thing is so goddam annoying. They know we tip in the states and it’s the only way servers can make a living. Not tipping because you don’t need it to survive in your country is not a good reason to make your server starve.
Pretending they’re Scottish
As someone who lives near Loch Lomond, I hate when people (it’s mostly Americans… sorry) come into the pubs shouting about how they’re “1/65th Scotch” (though they probably meant 1/64th) and how it’s “great to be back home”.
Holding up traffic for a selfie
People who stop traffic to “quickly jump out of their car for a photo” in the middle of a lane. Looking at you, Golden Gate Bridge tourists.
Behaving like a$$holes
I used to live in Barcelona. I didn’t mind the tourists that much except for the people that seemed to think that because they’re on holiday they can behave like assholes all the time.
You might be on holiday and have the time to drunkenly sing in the middle of the night in your AirBnB but there are people that live there and need to work in the morning.
Ruining beautiful places
They have the ability to turn the most beautiful and peaceful places on earth into overcrowded, loud, ugly monstrosities – which then defeats the whole purpose of visiting in the first place.
