The most effective advertising doesn’t need to be expensive, just cleverly executed. And Fiji Water sure nailed its PR stunt at the Golden Globes last night.
Fiji was front of mind for many watching the awards ceremony thanks to the mysterious brunette handing out bottles of Fiji Water .
What drew people’s attention to her was the way she had mastered the art of photobombing.

She managed to make her way into the background of many a celebrity photo, giving her best blue steel gaze right at the lens.
Fiji Water Girl memes soon began trending online as she made her way into as many red carpet shots as she could from Nicole Kidman and Jim Carrey to Richard Madden and Emmy Rossum.
People on Twitter began suggesting that she should be given the award for best supporting role, while one quick thinker even started a Fiji Water Girl Twitter account.

Her latest tweet reminded fans that “It was not a dream. I gave you the most entertaining Sunday of 2019.”
Fiji Water, which sponsored the award ceremony, later tweeted: “We’re so glad everyone is talking about our water!
*senses ominous presence*
She’s right behind us, isn’t she? #FIJIwatergirl
Turns out the viral photos ofhired model Kelleth Cuthbert were taken by a professional working for Fiji Water. Clever move indeed.
On a side note, as the world works harder than ever to eradicate single use plastic, we wonder if Fiji Water will come up with an eco-friendly alternative?
