Tourism Fiji’s annual Fijian Tourism Expo (FTE) kicked off yesterday at the Sheraton Fiji Resort in Denarau & KARRYON was there to capture all those day one pictures & information.
The two-day expo opened yesterday at 6.00pm and runs for two days. The annual showcase of everything Fiji launched with a welcome event at the Sofitel’s new Waitui Beach Club where industry professionals embraced the Bula Spirit.
The Tourism Fiji Chairman and Fiji Airways Managing Director and Chief Executive Andre Viljoen gave a welcome address at the event followed by the Minister for Industry, Trade, Tourism, Local Government, Housing and Community Development, Hon. Premila D. Kumar.
Each praised the island nation and thanked the industry for their efforts in making Fiji one of the hottest destinations in the South Pacific.
According to FTE hosts, Tourism Fiji, this year’s event has attracted over 172 international buyers and media (including your favourites at KARRYON), there’s also 101 exhibitors and a number of other key industry partners and stakeholders.
Over the next 24 hours (and the final day of the event), the industry will receive updates from one of the happiest countries in the world, which we will pass on to all our amazing readers.
There’ll also be evening events at the Sofitel, Denarau Sports a Racquet Club and the brand-new Pullman Nadi on Wailoaloa Beach.
