Gate 7 and Air New Zealand recently hosted a group of NSW Flight Centre agents to showcase the Northern California Triangle of San Francisco, Sonoma Wine Country and Yosemite Mariposa County.
The trip started out with a great 24 hours in San Francisco exploring the city with City Sightseeing San Francisco, a dinner cruise on the bay with Hornblower Cruises and a biking across the iconic Golden Gate bridge to Sausalito on a guided tour with Blazing Saddles.
Next the group drove just 45 minutes north of the SF to the heart of California wine country – Sonoma County – where they stayed at the gorgeous Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa, ate at the Michelin rated Sante, went ziplining through the redwood forest and wine tasting at Kendal Jackson and Buena Vista Winery.
- Top Row – (L – R): Emma Richardson (Flight Centre Mosman), Carol Lauer (Flight Centre Seven Hills), Sarah Thornton (Gate 7), Bronwyn Sunderland (Warriewood), Elise Bendell (Flight Centre Lane Cove), Timothy Schoonbeek (Flight Centre Newton), Elizabeth Hutchison (Air New Zealand)
- Bottom Row – (L – R): Gene Hagberg (Tenaya Lodge), Bec Cushing (Flight Centre), Tom Olczak (Flight Centre Parramatta North)
From Sonoma the group drove to Mariposa – the gateway to Yosemite National Park for an overnight at the Mariposa Lodge and a night out at The Alley Bar. After a day spent exploring the park during the best time of year, autumn, the group spent the final night at Tenaya Lodge, sipping wine by the outdoor fire pit!
