If you’re spellbound to the Harry Potter series (book and movies) and love yourself a good scare over Halloween then there’s one place you’ll really want to be this November…
… Warner Bros. Studio Tour London.
The studio where Potterheads can explore film sets, see authentic character costumes and mingle with extras from the eight movies, will go ‘dark’ in a couple of months for a special Halloween themed series.
The ‘Dark Arts’ theme will see He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named aka the Dark Lord aka Lord Voldemort’s followers come out of hiding from 1 October to 12 November 2018.
For the first time at the studio, visitors will be able to delve deeper into the sinister side of Harry Potter where horcruxes are made, Avada Kedavra spells are thrown around freely and almost everyone has either spent time in and/or escaped from Azkaban.
Visitors will also be able to use their wands to fight off Death Eaters and take a spookier-than-ever walk down Diagon Alley.
Speaking to KarryOn, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London’s Trade Coordinator, Cathy Cook, said while the studio has organised Halloween-inspired events in the past, this one will be darker than any before.
For those looking for a slightly less frightening Harry Potter experience, there’s the studio’s newest attraction, the Forbidden Forest.
The new space opened in March this year with one of Hagrid’s original costumes at the entrance and the opportunity to come face-to-face with Aragog and Buckbeak.
