Hunter Valley’s resort of superlatives

Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley is planning to become Australia’s leading destination for events and meetings, with the launch its new mega conference centre.

As the largest regional resort in New South Wales, Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley celebrated the launch of its brand new conference and events centre last Friday. Crowne Plaza opened in 2006 and has been growing ever since.  Almost every year the resort sets milestones and brings more and more tourists to New South Wales.

The launch of the centre comes with a new signature events package called Harvest Hunter. The idea is to combine big events with live entertainment in an outdoor festival affair. Live cooking and showcasing the region’s best wines and award winning food such as their home made pasta, bread or chocolate, Harvest Hunter is a great opportunity to offer great gourmet experiences alongside the actual events.

We’ve been through a long journey to get here today.

He also points out that the resort has already received some large scale bookings for 2015 and is looking forward to hosting many major events in their new centre in the near future. Because of the space available around the resort, Crowne Plaza also has the capability to run some extraordinary events, such as product launches, social gatherings and various outdoor activities. This brings them closer to the major aim: to make the Hunter Valley the best regional tourism destinations in Australia.

And the conference centre couldn’t come at a better time. New South Wales’ biggest and most popular conference facility, the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, is still shut as it undergoes a multimillion dollar renovation.

Hunter Valley’s conference space gives the state additional room to host major events of up to 1,600 delegates.

The opening event itself was fantastic. The venue showcased once more what it has to offer – and trust me, that’s a lot. Diverse wines and food were served while a band was playing underneath the tipis. This way a very familiar atmosphere was created, which I’m sure everyone enjoyed.
