On Saturday 13 September Infinity Holidays sent 10 wholesale consultants on a four day famil to Norfolk Island.

It is the first time Infinity have organised a famil to the island and the participants discovered an ideal self drive destination, situated in serene countryside and populated by friendly locals.

10 wholesale consultants departed from Brisbane travelling Air New Zealand on the two hour flight to the island. Norfolk Island is only 5km x 8km and the terminal feels like a regional one; you can collect your luggage and be on your way in 20 minutes…no long queues here. The group was met by Norfolk Island Tourism who took them on a 360 degree tour of the island which included Kingston, Slaughter Bay, Lone Pine and Mt Pitt from where you can basically see the whole island.

Over the next 4 days the group sampled a variety of what the destination has to offer including a Ghost Tour, a Mastering Taste Cooking Class, a Car Rally and a tour of Fletcher’s Cyclorama Art & History. The group were also given the choice to take part in Horse Riding, Sea Kayaking or a 4WD adventure.

The group stayed at Broadleaf Villas for the first couple of nights and they were impressed by the modern, clean, quiet and comfortable villas, which has a fully equipped kitchen for those wanting to self-cater. The final night was spent at Kentia Holiday Apartments with is stunning views and gorgeous garden setting.

In amongst all the fun and games our long suffering group participated in an impressive number of property inspections including Crest Apartments, Panorama Seaside Apartments, Anson Bay Lodge, South Pacific Resort Hotel, Ponderosa Apartments and Cottages and Tin Sheds. These consultants are now experts on Norfolk Island accommodation options.

Infinity would like to thank everybody involved in the famil but particularly Broadleaf Villas, Kentia Holidays Apartments and Norfolk Island Tourism who arranged everything.

What was the highlight of the trip? According to Selina Mutch, the host on the trip

‘The warmth and friendliness of the people who are so passionate about their home and who welcomed us with smiles and waves, showed us the best this small Isle has to offer and left us wanting to return as soon as we could.’
