Tourism Ireland and Travel Associates recently hosted a luxury famil to Ireland for seven Virtuoso agents, highlighting the country’s premium accommodation and immersive experiences along the Ancient East and Wild Atlantic Way, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.

Ireland is most well-known for its craic. But the destination can also do luxury, with agents staying at high-end locations like Cashel Palace Hotel and Dromoland Castle.

The Aussie advisors also enjoyed unique activities like falconry, horse riding at Mount Juliet Estate, a yacht cruise on the Shannon Estuary, a helicopter ride over the Ring of Kerry and a visit to Midleton Distillery.

“Tourism Ireland was delighted to partner with Travel Associates to organise this group famil to the island of Ireland and immerse these agents in our culture and discover some of the many unique and bespoke offerings in Ireland,” Tourism Ireland Manager Australia and New Zealand Sofia Hansson said.

“Working with influential travel trade such as Travel Associates is a key element of Tourism Ireland’s promotional programme in Australia and New Zealand.

“Our aim is that when these travel advisors return home, they will be even more enthusiastic and informed about the destination, helping to secure a greater share of their business for the island of Ireland.”

Travel Associate Janine Galanakis called Ireland “one of the most beautiful countries I have ever seen”. She also flagged the quality of service.

“We saw and stayed in the most fantastic properties, all of them very different, from Manor houses to a Castle, to the best located 5-star hotel in Dublin,” Galanakis remarked.

“What I liked most about the trip was every property and activity had the most friendliest, caring staff that made every day magical.
