Thanks to the recent NZ border opening announcement there’s finally a date for when Australians can enter New Zealand, meaning that you can finally stop dreaming about a holiday in The Islands of Tahiti and actually book a trip.

While The Islands of Tahiti have technically been open for Australians since mid-2021, the usual route via Auckland has remained closed and travellers have had to travel a much longer route via Hawaii or Los Angeles.

Therefore, the recent announcement that Australians will be able to travel to New Zealand from July onwards means that the length of the journey to The Islands of Tahiti has been cut significantly shorter and a holiday in the destination is finally more of a reality for many Australians.

The national flag carrier Air Tahiti Nui has announced that flights will restart on 3 July 2022 and Air New Zealand has announced they will be restarting flights to Papeete on 6 July 2022.
