While France is already the most-visited country in the world, Amadeus Intelligence data zeroed in on the major trends positioned to play a pivotal role in shaping the travel landscape leading up to the Paris 2024 Olympics

From the Asia-Pacific region, demand for Paris flights is up by 15 per cent on the same period in 2023 while other areas of France, such as Lille, Lyon and Marseille, hosting various competitions also saw an uplift in flight searches.

This creates the opportunity for targeted marketing campaigns for these regions and dedicated itineraries and packages to harness the interest.

Travellers planning trips to France are also exhibiting a shortened search lead time, with an average of 3.5 days less compared to 2023.

This means travellers are looking for packages that will accommodate an immersive experience for the Paris 2024 Olympics and this average seven-day duration preference.

Travellers coming from far away are more likely to stay longer with those people from the Asia-Pacific region likely to stay for 12 days on average.
