Sin City is living up to its name with Cannabition, the world’s first interactive marijuana museum, having just opened in Las Vegas.
Inside, visitors can see the world’s largest bong, which at 7 metres high “requires a blowtorch to light, and an elevator to get to the mouthpiece”.
If that’s not enough there are also huggable faux marijuana buds and a pool full of foam weed nuggets.
Museum founder J.J. Walker said the goal of the museum was to destigmatise marijuana use.
Even if people aren’t “believers” themselves, he wants to remove any fear people may have about the industry.
“Cannabition is not about just serving people that like marijuana, it’s about serving the masses that want to learn about cannabis and or just have fun and go do a cool art experience.”

Each room tells a different story about the cannabis plant. In the seed room, for example, people can lie down in a bed shaped like a marijuana seed.
You can then move on to the grow room with artificial plants under bright lights to represent an indoor cannabis growing facility.
There is also a giant spliff visitors can pretend to smoke. Pretend is the key word here, because despite it being legal for adults in Nevada to buy marijuana, consuming the drug in public is still banned.
The entire museum has been designed with Instagram in mind, or as they put it “each exhibit is designed to create powerful, and instagrammable memories”. Snapping selfies is encouraged.
Only adults 21 and older will be allowed at Cannabition. See more here.
