Sphere at The Venetian is Las Vegas’ newest attraction – an AUD$3.3 billion round entertainment venue covered with fully programmable LEDs outside and the world’s largest HD wraparound screen inside for a state-of-the-art experience.

Sphere Vegas will host a variety of entertainment, including original immersive experiences, concert residencies, marquee sporting events, corporate events and more.

As a new addition to the Las Vegas landscape, it’s a striking sight. The world’s largest spherical structure is 111m high and 157m wide and can seat 17,500 people or 20,000 standing.

The exterior features 177km of fully programmable LEDs and the world’s largest beamforming audio inside.

Part of MSG Ventures (which owns NYC’s Madison Square Garden), it took seven years to complete.

So far, Sphere has transformed into a basketball for the 2023 NBA Summer League and a jack’o’lantern for the Halloween season.

Irish band U2 were the first music group to play the Vegas venue, opening on 29 September for a 25-concert run until 16 December 2023.

Within The Sphere Experience, Black Swan Director Darren Aronofsky’s Postcard from Earth has also debuted.

The specially commissioned experiential film reimagines the planet as a sci-fi experience. It uses Sphere’s high-tech wraparound screen, 10,000 haptic seats, in-auditorium climate system and 167,000-speaker array for a fully immersive experience.

The Sphere Experience also features five humanoid robots that guide audiences through the latest tech. This includes a 360-degree avatar capture and a 47m-high holographic image.
