The pristine island of Elba in Italy’s Tuscan Archipelago is taking its chances with mother nature by promising visitors free accommodation if it rains during their stay.
Seriously, the island’s tourism website says that for the entire month of May, if it rains for more than two hours between 10am and 8pm, then your overnight stay is on them.
To make sure you definitely get your inclement weather refund, guests just need to make sure they book into one of the hotels or guest houses that are approved for the island’s no rain program.

The no rain, no pay offer doesn’t completely cut off at the end of May either. The island will be running the quirky initiative again from September 15 till the end of October.
Elba Island for those of you that haven’t heard of it – is a seriously gorgeous place.
