SHUTTING DOWN: Sultanate of Oman Tourism to close Australian office

The Sultanate of Oman, Ministry of Tourism will no longer have a local tourist office presence in Australasia due to a reprioritisation of global marketing efforts.

The Sultanate of Oman, Ministry of Tourism will no longer have a local tourist office presence in Australasia due to a reprioritisation of global marketing efforts.

Their presence in Australia will wrap up on June 30 2018.

Managing Director of The Walshe Group Jacqui Walshe said it had been a pleasure representing Oman in Australia for the last eight years.

“Despite the closure of the tourist board office, we are very pleased that we will be able to stay connected to this inspiring destination through our ongoing representation of Oman Air and are encouraged by the recent growth in sales for the airline from Australia.”

Travel Agents will be able to continue to access the Oman training modules to qualify as an Oman Preferred Travel Agent. via training.tourismoman.com.au

The Walshe Group will manage sales and marketing until June 30, 2018.
