A selection of travel agents who completed the South Africa Specialist course won their place on a 2015 familiarisation and gained listing as a specialist on the South African Tourism website.

A selection of travel agents who completed the South Africa Specialist course won their place on a 2015 familiarisation and gained listing as a specialist on the South African Tourism website.

South African Tourism has treated five travel agents to an adventure-filled familiarisation in South Africa after winning the South Africa (SA) Specialist competition that ran from October 2014 to March 2015.

The 10 day journey included return economy flights to South Africa provided by South African Airways; domestic flights within South Africa; nine nights’ accommodation, including a luxury Big Five safari experience at Kwandwe Safari Lodge; city tours of Johannesburg and Cape Town, most meals and transfers.

The group were given the chance to explore some of South Africa’s most popular and breathtaking sites including Table Mountain, V&A Waterfront, the Kirstenbosch Gardens, Knysna Waterfront and the picturesque vineyards at the Bramon Wine Estate near Plettenburg Bay.

The winners were also given a once in a lifetime opportunity to participate in a Rhino Conservation Safari at the Kwandwe Private Game Reserve.

Ms. Lalie Ngozi, South African Tourism General Manager Australasia said she was pleased to see the SA Specialists get the chance to experience South Africa’s offerings first hand.

“I was happy to hear that the agents thoroughly enjoyed their journey. It was great to hear the agents all agree that South Africa’s unique food and rich culture helped make the trip a memorable one,” said Ms. Ngozi.
