Close to 150 travel agents from across Sydney joined South African Tourism last night in an exciting showcase of what South Africa has to offer the Australian tourist.

The South Africa Road Show was held at Exhibition Hall, featuring an evening of relaxed, interactive networking sessions at the Meet South Africa Market between travel agents and wholesalers; while enjoying South African entertainment, food and wine.

“Our 2014 Road Show has been the largest and most thrilling yet with many of the events selling out early,” said Ms. Lalie Ngozi, South African Tourism General Manager Australasia.

Two lucky agents Renzo Favaloro, Freedom Travel & Zaia Bazi, Jetaround Holidays even won the opportunity to join an agent familiarisation in 2015, thanks to South African Tourism and South African Airways, a key partner of the event series.

South African Airways Country Manager for Australasia, Tim Clyde-Smith said SAA was very pleased to be part of the 2014 South Africa Road Show.

“As the leading airline serving South Africa from Australia with daily direct flights, we’re delighted to take part in this important industry event to help showcase the very best of what South Africa has to offer,” said Mr. Clyde-Smith.

“Working with South African Tourism to support the Road Show together with key wholesalers and industry operators is the best way to show the breadth of product on offer, from small luxury hotels and game parks to major ground operators.”

“And as Africa’s most awarded airline with the largest network to all major South African destinations, what better way to explore some amazing destinations than flying with the airline that knows South Africa best,” concluded Mr. Clyde-Smith.
