Nothing gets us more excited than travel guides! Especially one that’s tailor-made for Aussie and Kiwi travellers (hey, that’s us!). Offering the ultimate tool for planning a trip to the Aloha State, the Explore Hawai’i guide has created the place to find out what to do and where to eat, stay, and shop across the Hawaiian Islands.
With dedicated sections for Waikīkī (a fave) and the six main islands – O‘ahu, Maui, the island of Hawai‘i, Kaua‘i, Moloka‘i and Lāna‘i – the Explore Hawai’i guide provides insights into the Aloha State’s unique food and cultural experiences. You can practically hear the sounds of the waves lapping against the shore when you open this stylish online guide.

A deeper connection to the islands

What we adore about this latest Explore Media guide is the emphasis on mālama. The sister term to aloha, mālama that means to give back, care for and protect (remember we told you about mālama back in April?).
The guide also features some epic ideas for volunteering experiences to help visitors make deeper, more meaningful connections during their Hawai‘i vacay.
In the guide, you’ll discover countless ways to pay it forward, with several organisations offering cool-as opportunities to get involved. Like tree planting, self-directed beach clean-ups, ocean reef preservation, and even helping care for animals at Lāna‘i Cat Sanctuary. Which one gives you the warm and fuzzies?
Cruisy info on cruising

If cruising Hawai’i is your jam, you’ll enjoy the dedicated section featuring Norwegian Cruise Lines’ ship, Pride of America. Cruising offers an effortless way to visit several islands and the best of Hawai’i in one trip.
Ready to return
The Explore Hawai’i travel guide is the long-standing (15 years!) brainchild of custom publishing company Explore Media and its Honolulu-based partner Destination Marketing Hawai‘i.
After nearly two years of travel restrictions, Explore Media publisher Angela White said there was pent-up demand for the Hawaiian Islands, with Australians and New Zealanders now returning in droves.
“With its beautiful beaches, family-friendly attractions, adventure activities, cuisine, shopping, history, culture, responsible tourism experiences, festivals and events, and Aloha Spirit, it’s not hard to see why,” she said.
