WINE TIME: This Sydney Island will be dedicated to all things WINE

If you close your eyes and go to your happy place, does it look a little something like this? A warm island in the middle of Sydney harbour with a festival vibe where wine and cocktails flow and gourmet food is always on hand.

For three days from Friday 2 November to Sunday 4 November this happy place will be real.

Known as Wine Island, the event will transform Clark Island in Sydney Harbour into Australia’s most tropical and unique wine festival.

To get everyone in the holiday spirit, a glass of bubbles will be provided on your transfer over to the island (whether that be by ferry or by superyacht, more on that later).

Once you arrive you can explore boutique wineries from Australia and overseas before heading on over to the popular masterclasses by the crew at Wine Selectors.

If you need a break from wine at any stage Gage Roads Brewing Co. Beer Garden will be pouring ales from WA, the Archie Rose Gin bar will have a glitzy menu of premium gin cocktails and Pimms Garden will have refreshing Pimms Cocktails.

When hunger hits there will be juicy burgers, loaded fries, Mediterranean pitas, fluffy boa buns by Chur Burger Food Truck along with cheese platters and oysters galore.

There will also be island games such as a treasure hunt and a silent disco.

Packages to paradise begin at $99 for the 5 Star experience and include 5 wine tastings, a Wine Island tumbler, ferry transfers and a glass of Bellini Cipriani.

Those opting for the 10-star experience can expect their transfer to arrive in the form of a superyacht.
