Fans of the sci-fi series Battlestar Galactica can pretend they are part of the 12 colonies battling the Cylons on Universal Studios Singapore’s new ride.
The ‘Battlestar Galactica: HUMAN vs CYLON’ ride, which has previously featured at theme park, returned this week.
Dubbed at the world’s tallest dueling roller coasters, the ride returns with new two-seater vehicles, giving riders a more intimate and personal ride experience.
Universal closed the ride in July 2013, a period of almost 22 months.
Theme park operators told Channel News Asia it was closed for an attraction review. No further details were given.
It is themed after the science fiction franchise, Battlestar Galactica, which ended in 2009 after four seasons.
Throughout the series, humans from 12 colonies are forced to abandon their homes and travel from one side of space to the other in search of Earth.
Travelling board various space vessels, including the battleship – Battlestar Galactica – they face constant attack from the technologically advanced enemy that drove them out of their part of the galaxy, the Cylons.
Meanwhile, Universal Studios Hollywood is gearing up to launch its new ‘Fast & Furious-Supercharged‘ ride later this year.
The mega-attraction features character from the hit movie franchise as it takes guests to the high-stakes underground world of fast cars to save one of their own from an international crime cartel.
