Beauty therapy from Lancôme, spa treatments from Emirates Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa and a German-inspired feast had the world’s glitterati thoroughly entertained.
Set Square landed the 2500m Group One Crown Oaks with jockey Hugh Bowman galloping to the finish. Though, one wouldn’t be too harshly scorned for missing the race action with all the trackside action taking place under the Emirates German-themed marquee,
While watching the race from the best seat at Flemington, celebrities from the world of TV, sport and music were taken on a culinary journey of Germany and devoured delicious dishes including honey roasted venison, schnitzel and kartoffelsalat, Hamburg panfish and an array of fine German desserts.
German Slap Dancers also entertained guests throughout the day with two ‘Schuhplattlers’, while the ladies relaxed with hand and foot massages on offer in the Timeless Spa, as well as hair styling from Joey Scandizzo and make-up touch ups at the exclusive Lancôme lip and eye bar.
German model, Ann Kathrin Brommel and girlfriend of Germany’s World Cup hero, Mario Gotze, was said to have enjoyed the fine dining, fashion and beauty trackside alongside actor, Adam Garcia.
They were joined by former Miss Universe Australia, Renae Ayris and Olivia Wells, celebrity chef Karen Martini and AFL players Matt Cooper, David Rodan, Brendon Goddard, Matthew Pavlich.
Additional celebrity guests included Dancing With The Stars, Kym Johnson, Winners and Losers’, Nick Russell and Paul Moore, and reality TV personality, Brynne Edelsten who was a little more demure in clothing sense than your usually flamboyant self (we did say a little).
The Block’s Maxine and Karstan, Big Brother’s Tully Smyth, Beauty and the Geek personalities Frances, Emily, Tate and Alex and Real Housewives of Australia, Andrea Moss further gave the reality TV star portion of guests more strength in numbers.
Singer Zoe Badwi, Jersey Boys star Bobby Fox, Olympic gold medallist, Torah Bright further added to the talent fraction of those lucky enough to enjoy Ladies’ Day under the red and white canopy.
And for all of you that may have missed the action;
