Next year is the perfect time to visit Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California when the OG theme park marks its milestone 70-year anniversary with special experiences from mid-May 2025 as well as a year-round calendar of events. Here’s what we know so far.
The Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration kicks off on 16 May 2025 with limited-time entertainment, colourful décor, food and beverages, collectible merchandise and more across two theme parks: Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.
What we know about the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration
Highlights include the return of the fan-favourite Paint the Night parade with more than one million LED lights and the Wondrous Journeys night-time spectacular at Disneyland Park with fireworks on select nights.
At Disney California Adventure Park, families and friends will be able to “celebrate happy” with the all-new World of Color Happiness! night-time spectacular and the return of the high-energy Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration! daytime parade.
Also new is a new character cavalcade at Disneyland Park and special projections on the facades of Carthay Circle Restaurant and “it’s a small world” ride.
Colourful décor will take over the entire resort, including an elegant medallion on the iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle, plus a new theme song, “Celebrate Happy”.
Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and all your fave characters will be dressed in custom looks designed just for the occasion for the party in Town Square at Disneyland.
The Walt Disney – A Magical Life film will debut at the Main Street Opera House theatre at Disneyland Park on 16 May.
Reflecting on its 70-year legacy, Disneyland Resort is also in an era of growth with upcoming new offerings and future development.
The Downtown Disney shopping, dining and entertainment precinct will welcome the Disney Wonderful World of Sweets shop and Parkside Market dining hall in early 2025.
This year, Pixar Place Hotel and the all-new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure both opened in Disneyland Park.
Families can get in on the action early with a limited-time Kids’ Special Ticket Offer (for kids aged three to nine years) – a 1-Day, 1-Park ticket for visits from 7 January – 20 March 2025.
