FCTG Global goes off: What happened in Vegas?

We’d say what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, but there was no escaping the joy and jubilation as Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) celebrated its first Global Gathering Conference since 2019, bringing together 1,200 Flighties from around the world.

We’d say what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, but there was no escaping the joy and jubilation as Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) celebrated its first Global Gathering Conference since 2019, bringing together 1,200 Flighties from around the world.

The two-day Global Gathering, with top-line sponsors Sabre and Qantas, was held 7–8 July 2022 to celebrate the top 10 per cent of FCTG employees worldwide, hosting everyone at Las Vegas’s newest casino Resorts World Las Vegas, which has three towers and three Hilton brand hotels on site.

RW Las Vegas was also the location for the Thursday night pool party, which saw US DJs Cash Cash get the party started, the Gala Dinner on Friday night and the conference.

Special guest English comedian and actor Jack Whitehall was interviewed on stage by FCTG’s EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) Managing Director Steve Norris about his Netflix comedy series, Travels with my Father, and entertained the crowd with his travel stories.

FCTG Global Lead Distribution Jamie Sutherland was on the ground in Las Vegas and said the suppliers in attendance were impressed with the Flight Centre company culture and the way the brand recognises and rewards its people and sponsors.

“While Global this year was a more intimate experience, it didn’t take away from the amazing energy in the room and the feeling of celebration as we put the last two years behind us and look to the future.”
