She’s the ‘future of cruising on the Mekong’, according to Evergreen Cruises & Tours, which is excited over the recent launch of its newest & most sustainable vessel, Emerald Harmony.
The line’s first custom-built Star Ship outside of Europe welcomed its first guests late August, and has since been delivering dreams along the Mekong from Vietnam to Cambodia. And it’s doing so in an entirely environmentally-friendly way.
Specially designed for travel to and from Ho Chi Minh, she gives the line access to the “heart of the city” and offers guests a “stylish and contemporary” experience.

WHAT CAN I FIND ON BOARD?
Emerald Harmony, as you would have read before, is ‘stylish and contemporary’ which is heavily reflected in her interior design.
Evergreen Cruises & Tours says her suites are “spacious”…

Plus there’s the signature Sun and Pool deck with incredible nighttime views…
A Horizon Bar & Lounge for late-night gatherings…
As well as a Lotus Lounge and Reflections Restaurant for locally-inspired cuisines…
I HEAR SHE’S SUSTAINABLE, HOW SO?
Emerald Harmony is the first Star-Ship to remove the use of all single-use plastic on board.
The move will be replicated across the line’s European fleet, but in the meantime guests with a complimentary metal water bottle can refill them from water stations around the ship.
Glass water bottles will be provided in cabins and bamboo/paper straws will be available in the restaurants and bars.
Miniature bathroom amenities bottles will be replaced with refillable dispensers.
WHAT ITINERARIES ARE AVAILABLE?
Emerald Harmony will offer four itineraries along the Mekong ranging from eight to 21 days.
The shorter of the lot is the Majestic Mekong River Cruise travelling from Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh with stops in My Tho, Sa Dec, Hong Ngu, An Long, Long Khanh, and Siem Reap.
There’s also the 13-day Majestic Mekong Discover incorporating an eight-day cruise with two nights in Ho Chi Minh and three nights in Siem Reap, as well as the 17-day Treasures & Temples of Vietnam & Cambodia taking in Hanoi, Halong Bay, Ho Chi Minh and Siem Reap as well as an eight-day cruise.
For a grander adventure, there’s the 21-day Grand Tour of Vietnam & Cambodia featuring three nights in beautiful Hoi An, one night in the imperial city of Hue, and so much more.
