Delta Air Lines is revamping the Economy Class experience so it feels a little more like First Class, although just to be clear, that doesn’t mean there’ll be any fully-reclinable seats in the cabin anytime soon.
Commencing in November on international flights, Delta Air Lines is introducing a ‘first-of-its-kind service’ in Economy that includes a free cocktail, hot towel service and more.
The airline’s Senior Vice President In-Flight Service, Allison Ausband said the upgrade in service is a way of “investing in every single customer” despite where they may sit on the plane.
“The thoughtful touches we’re investing in throughout the new Main Cabin experience were designed by flight attendants with one goal in mind — delivering an exceptional experience that our customers will rave about.”

“[It’s also] one that our team, the best in the business, is proud to deliver.”
So what exactly can Main Cabin customers expect?
The moment they step onboard, they’ll receive a free ‘Welcome Aboard’ cocktail featuring Bellinis. Nice!
There’ll be a hot towel service through which guests can refresh their faces and hands before a long journey AND the airline is introducing a bistro-type service that’ll allow guests to mix-and-match options for premium appetisers and larger entrees.
As a final touch, Delta Air Lines guests will also receive a chocolate treat as the plane descents.
