Unfortunately for ladies, but fortunately for Australia, Chris Hemsworth aka Thor will cover up his assets with a tux [or suit, we’ll see] to attend this year’s 2015 G’Day USA Gala.
The annual event presented by Qantas is a celebration of Australia’s talent in the United States.

But that’s not the best part.
His award will be presented by his gorgeous ‘Avengers’ co-star, Scarlett Johansson.
Being held in Los Angeles tomorrow night, the gala will also see local indigenous band East Journey and Martha Marlow flown to the US to join other performers such as Human Nature, Nathaniel and Aussie hip hop producer, M-Phazes.
In the audience will be Nicole Kidman [not sure if her Aussie country singing hubby will join], Rachel Griffiths, Mel Gibson, Tim Minchin and other Hollywood big names.

It wouldn’t be a Qantas event without the incredible John Travolta.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Qantas event without John Travolta, who will present one of the AACTA International awards.
Qantas chief executive Alan Joyce said the US is a key market for the airline, and hosting the annual event provides a platform to strengthen ties between the two countries.
“Qantas is proud to support an event that celebrates the tremendous success of Australians in the United States as well as opening doors for others.”

Meanwhile in March this year, Qantas will retire its first Boeing 747-400 – the same plane that flew the longest unrefueled commercial flight from London to Sydney.
The airline will deliver the plane to Albion Park, just south of Wollongong, where it will become a historical artifact at the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society (HARS) facility.
The plane’s final flight will last for around 10 minutes, with the official handover taking place on 15 March.
