Hong Kong Disneyland (HKDL) celebrated its 20th anniversary on 12 September 2025, kicking off a year of ‘The Most Magical Party of All‘ events with two major expansions underway and new merchandise and dining experiences.
At an event honouring cast members and special guests, Disney Experiences Chair Josh D’Amaro said: “For two decades, Hong Kong Disneyland has been a leading tourism driver through world-class storytelling, unforgettable guest experiences and an unwavering commitment to the community.”
“Our 20th anniversary marks an exciting new chapter as we continue to expand, bringing even more beloved Disney stories to life.”
These include two major expansions to the theme park: A new Pixar immersive, live theatrical adventure with beloved Pixar characters, and a Marvel Avengers-themed experience exclusive to HKDL’s Tomorrowland, featuring an all-new attraction plus entertainment and shopping offerings.
Inspired by Tony Stark’s vision for a better future, the area brings together brilliant minds from the Avengers and their friends working together in Hong Kong to showcase their cutting-edge inventions and technologies.
This immersive experience will further expand the Stark Expo, allowing park visitors to go on adventures and team up with a wide array of superheroes.
HKDL 20th anniversary
A new HKDL 20th anniversary commemorative merchandise collection is now available, including collectible cards that pay tribute to the resort’s development.
These include brand-new “Friendtastic!” parade-themed Mickey and Friends and Duffy and Friends plush toys, plus special crossover items like a 20th anniversary commemorative Coca-Cola bottle and GODIVA premium chocolates.
In addition, there’s the grand reopening of the newly themed Wayfinders’ Table, a Moana-inspired dining experience with immersive storytelling and Oceania-style dishes.
Throughout ‘The Most Magical Party of All’ year-long celebrations, the 20th-anniversary theme will flow through parades, clothing, food and much more.
