Are you "coming out" to the Mardi Gras in Sydney tomorrow?

Sydney's premier gay and lesbian event is less than 24 hours away, and to celebrate pride, the travel industry is proudly displaying the rainbow flag for all to see.

Sydney’s premier gay and lesbian event is less than 24 hours away, and to celebrate pride, the travel industry is proudly displaying the rainbow flag for all to see.

For starters, the five-star Pullman Sydney Hyde Park has turned the “camp” dial-up to 11 by replacing its Pullman branded flag with the rainbow flag in celebration of gay pride and LGBTI rights.

The flag will remain in position ahead of Saturday’s event, where College Street will play host to the parade’s official setup area.

The Pullman Sydney Hyde Park will also be hosting a special VIP event for travel industry professionals and media on Saturday, and KarryOn will proudly be there to represent.

Also returning in 2016 is the hotel’s geometric rainbow wall and its much-loved Drag Queen lobby display.

The hotel has partnered with three high-profile drag superstars including Minnie Cooper, currently a finalist on Australia’s Got Talent, DIVA Award winner Maxi Shield and Sydney nightspot favourite Vanity Faire, to add glitz and glamour to the lives of its hotel guests and visitors.

The drag exhibition will remain at the hotel until Sunday the 6 March 2016.

A number of other hotel groups have recently lent their support to gay rights and pride.

Hotels.com is the latest travel company to wave the rainbow flag and show its support for marriage equality in Australia.

And back in early February, AccorHotels did the same, penning an open letter to the Australian Government to support the passing of the Australian Marriage Equality Act.

Tourism Ireland are also showing their rainbow colours by sponsoring an Irish float in this year’s parade.

Here’s a behind-the-scenes video from last year’s Ireland float:

The float takes its inspiration from Ireland’s original Pirate Queen, Grace O’Malley.

Grace was a fearless seafarer, Chieftain of the O’Malley clan and was the epitome of what it means to be strong, independent and powerful.

Taking the helm of this prestigious float is Ireland’s very own Panti Bliss.

Panti, who is a top international Drag Artist, is the star of the hugely successful new documentary ‘The Queen of Ireland’.

Will you be coming out to support gay rights this Saturday in Sydney?
