Guests at The Savoy Hotel on Little Collins Melbourne will be turning their rooms upside down with news that a pink sapphire and diamond-encrusted ring worth $10,000 is hidden in one of the rooms.

And what’s more, the lucky guest that finds it, gets to keep it!

The hunt for the exquisite Fairfax & Roberts handcrafted piece has been set up to celebrate the multi-million dollar refurbishment of The Savoy Hotel on Little Collins Melbourne.

The major makeover has given the iconic hotel a new look that pays tribute to the Art Deco era of the original Hotel Alexander built on the site in 1928.

Now, back to this ring.

It’s 18ct white gold with 16 round brilliant-cut diamonds surrounding a pink pear-shaped sapphire. GASP!

“The Savoy Hotel on Little Collins is a thoughtfully designed, art-deco gem and therefore we are delighted to give one lucky person the opportunity to win something that celebrates the hotel’s transformation,”  CEO of Fairfax & Roberts Georgina Brujic said.

“We urge people to explore the glamourous address and enter the competition to win this special, one-of-a-kind creation.”

The finder keepers competition is open to all Australian guests booking a minimum of a one-night stay at The Savoy Hotel on Little Collins between Valentines Day and Thursday, 7th March 2019.

Booked guests will then have to enter online before to their stay and answer in 25 words or less why they deserve to win the ring. All entries will close on Sunday 10th February.

The winner of the online entry will then have the ring hidden in their room to find. Image that, the real possibility of checking out with a $10,000 jewel on your finger. A modern fairytale come true!
