Australian tourists can travel and sleep guilt free in Southern Thailand from November this year, when the region’s first purpose-built 5-star sustainable resort opens its door.
The Anana Resort Krabi, located eight minutes from the beach, combines ultra-luxe offerings with 360-degree views of nature and 100 percent eco-friendly operations to be a completely sustainable property.
The Anana Resort is so sustainable and environmentally-friendly that it has received a Green Globe certification and it hasn’t even opened yet.
Sustainable initiatives include using solar power and a reticulated water system.
The property is surrounded by green jungle forest, it has a permaculture farm to produce organic food, there’s no plastic in the resort, and it has on-demand electric Tuk Tuk limos.
5-star luxury and offerings kick in with the on-resort Thai Street food hawker, in-pool bar, yoga sessions and a Himalayan salt cave.
Another highlight of the property includes its prime location within walking distance of AoNang Beach as well as its proximity to the shops, dining precinct and entertainment.

The news of Southern Thailand’s first 5-star sustainable resort comes shortly after Thailand’s tourism leaders confirmed to KARRYON that the country isn’t supporting or promoting any organisation that harms elephants. Click here for more information.
