Exquisite 4-star property in the heart of Rome where design is cutting edge and location is key. The rooms are so, well, WHITE, hence the name. Just 30 minutes from FCO airport you are right there near the Trevi Fountain and all the major shopping streets.

Get ready to fill your bags up with clothes and your belly with food.

CHECKIN IN & BEYOND

The foyer is contemporary with minimal furnishings but enough to sit and wait for your turn at reception. There is this funky lounge area that is overly inviting where you can get a drink and sit in the garden while you wait as well.

Overwhelmed by the service levels of the team behind the counter, I was quickly informed of where to go for good coffee, food, wine and of course Pizza. I was shown where the gym and sauna were along with the breakfast bar that opened and closed at a certain time so make note as you just might miss breakfast. This they made clear on many occasions. Who would skip an Italian breakfast?

THE ROOM

True to the name, the room is white, extremely clean and it smelt like the fresh linen spray you have at home when you want to get an extra day or two from your sheets… I did check the sheets just in case and clearly they were ironed and crisp. Amazing. The double bed was perfectly soft felt quite new which guaranteed a great night sleep.

Tea and coffee facilities are in your room with a fully stocked mini bar. Bathroom size was standard for Rome as you need to be skinny to get into the shower so no eating pasta or pizza beforehand.

FOOD & DRINKS

Breakfast offered delicious homemade breads which you could seriously snack on all morning and make yourself a panini to take away. There was fresh prosciutto, salami, cheese, ricotta, salads, fruits, pancakes, scrambled eggs, fresh orange juice and fresh coffee.

There was this small pizza bread sprinkled with herbs where at first look, it seems dry and with no flavour but with one bite, I found myself eating four or five of them placing fresh bocconcini and ricotta on top with some greens. Welcome to Italy.

FACILITIES

The breakfast room is located in the basement level near the Gym and Sauna. It’s white decor gives you this sense of daylight and fresh air. Open 7am -1030am.

The fitness area is new but don’t expect a full service gym as the equipment is limited but it will do the trick. Get in there early to burn off those gelato’s and take in your own music device. It does get really hot really quickly in there so be prepared to sweat a minute into your workout.

The Sauna is small, quaint and relaxing as the lighting really makes this place unique and intimate. This is the perfect wind down spot after a full day of touring Rome. Don’t take your undies off as it’s not that kind of Roman Sauna.

THE VERDICT

The best feature is the location. You are a hop skip and a coin throw away from the Trevi Fountain and surrounded by incredible cafes, restaurants, shops, pubs and other famous historical structures. The hotel was perfectly positioned, overly clean with fast free WIFI throughout the hotel. As for the staff on site, incredibly helpful.
